Kirtan By The Fire

We sing mantras outdoors under the open sky by the fire in the Steinhölzliwald forest in Bern. Kirtan by the fire takes place once a quarter on a Friday evening. If it rains, we sing indoors in a yoga studio in Bern. No prior knowledge or spiritual beliefs are necessary. You don't even have to be able to sing. Registration is not required. The event is donation-based.

  • Each Friday. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

    There may be changes at short notice. Please check this website beforehand to ensure you are in the right place at the right time.

  • In the Steinhölzli forest near the forest playground of the Chindertroum daycare center in Bern. Coordinates: 46°56'06.7 "N 7°25'40.8 "E.

    From Bern railroad station, take bus number 10 in the direction of Köniz to the Dübystrasse stop. From there it is a 10 minute walk.

    If it rains we sing inside. If the weather forecast is uncertain, we will inform you about the location of the event on this website.

  • We sit directly on the forest floor around the fire. Please bring your own seat mat for the possibly damp ground. Those who can bring firewood.

  • Registration is not necessary.

    Participation is free of charge. We support the organization with voluntary donations SAO - Association for Women on the Run.
